Program Begins: October 13, 2025
Program Days and Times: Ages 14–17: Mondays or Tuesdays 4 PM – 6:30 PM (1 day/week)
Ages 18–24: Tuesdays & Thursdays 10:30 AM – 1 PM (2 days/week)
Teen & Young Adult Summits
Held quarterly, our summits cater to young adults aged 14 to 24. These events feature professionals from diverse fields conducting engaging workshops that center on education and professional experiences. Our goal is to provide attendees with the essential tools to excel in the workforce and navigate professional etiquette with confidence.
Summer Youth Employment
Our Summer Youth Employment Program is open to individuals ages 14–24. As a lead agency for the GDYT (Grow Detroit’s Young Talent) program, Developing K.I.D.S. will employ up to 180 youth this summer.
Participants begin with a week-long Work Readiness Training in June to prepare for their roles. Once the program begins, they take part in weekly workforce development sessions, gaining skills and experience throughout the summer. The program concludes with a celebratory team retreat to recognize their growth and accomplishments.
